Solidarity Statement against the assault and detention of NewsClick journalists

The fasciSt Modi government launched a raid on the office of NewsClick – a progressive newspaper in India – and seized the computers, phones and properties of the personals. The police also arregted two comrades, Prabir, the director of the newspaper and Amit his assistant. This attack had been preceded by multiple raids on the headquarters of NewsClick newspaper due to its critical line of the policies of the Modi government and its support for the Struggles of farmers and workers in India and all over the world.

We, in the Workers Democratic Way Party – Morocco, Strongly condemn this aggressive attack and express our complete solidarity with this NewsClick and its employees. We call for immediate release of the two detained comrades Prabir and Amit, and we demand the suspension of all charges and cancellation of all judicial prosecutions against the newspaper and all democratic journalists in the country.
